Foreign investors have sold Indian equities for 19 months, wiping out 100 months of prior inflows. However, in a recent reversal, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) invested around $1.71 billion in Indian equities in the first part of August. FPIs have pumped in a total of Rs 16,621 crore into Indian equities in August so far, marking a shift in their investment strategy.
