Oman to mark National Day with first ever formal two day holiday starting 2025
Starting in 2025, Oman will officially observe National Day as a two-day holiday on 20 and 21 November, marking the historic 1650 expulsion of Portuguese forces. The celebrations highlight national identity, cultural heritage, and community pride, featuring parades, fireworks, camel races, and traditional events, while giving citizens an extended period to reflect, rejoice, and spend time with family.
