Ayurveda ad controversy: Delhi HC bars Patanjali’s Chyawanprash campaign; calls it 'misleading'
The Delhi High Court has ordered Patanjali Ayurved to cease airing an advertisement that labeled competing chyawanprash brands as "dhoka" (deception). The court found the ad disparaged the entire product category, misleading consumers and harming competitors like Dabur India. Patanjali's defense of free speech was rejected, with the court deeming the ad beyond permissible puffery.
